Solen are Donal Keating and John Flynn. They have been making music together and with their friends since 1998.
Solen piece together loops on the fly to construct songs. This approach makes it difficult to find definitive versions of compositions and informs their lack of recorded output. It is hoped this will be rectified in Spring 2007. Solen like heavy bass, fast sketchy drums and crisp screechy high end.Recent performances include Mantua Lives Festival '06, Lazybird, Alphabet Set and The Electric Fix. Donal and John are also the rhythm section in the band Lines. In the past they have played with Plaid, Chris Clark, Vex'd, and many of the Alphabet Set's thoroughbred stable.
